Week of March 17-21

Hello!  An important announcement:

**Book Drive--Cherokee is collecting books to be given out at a community day at York and Campbell Elementary schools.  We are collecting good used paperback and hardback books from now until Friday, March 28th.  I know that many of our Cherokee students have had the benefit of owning lots of books, and we are hopeful that you all will choose to "share the bounty" and send in the books your child has outgrown.  Anything from baby books to youth fiction is welcome and will be put to good use!  Thank you so much for putting books into the hands of children who may not have them otherwise!

**Students will be continuing to read their argument essays aloud this week on Monday and Tuesday, and then on Wednesday we will have Mr. Petree in the room.  Thursday we will begin our Media Literacy/Persuasion/Propaganda Unit.
